Abstract
In this work a Multi-Valued Logic (MVL) gate is presented. It is equivalent to Exclusive-Or (X-OR) gate of the Binary circuits, but in Quaternary Logic. This Logic Block is built with bipolar transistors operating in current-mode. It can be considered a basic block for the construction of digital circuits. Although the Exclusive-Or gate of the Binary world is performed with other basic gates, it is often presented as a single one. The same occurs for the X Gate. With a little difference presented here: the Quaternary gate is performed by some basic gates and other circuit configuration (or block) that makes possible not using a lot of basic Quaternary gates to perform it. If the same X Gate is done in a formal way, it will be necessary much more basic gates and area.
