Abstract :
The effect of Co on the magnetic properties of the off stoichiometric YGdFe17-xCoxGa compounds are presented. The lattice parameters, saturation magnetization and Curie temperature of the compound were obtained. Structural characterization was carried out by taking X-ray diffraction patterns on sample powders. Magnetization and Curie temperatures were determined using a vibrating sample magnetometer up to an applied field of 12 kOe.
