Abstract
In this paper, we argue that the predominant model of Situation Awareness (SA) is inadequate for the Distributed Situation Awareness (DSA) in Command and Control (C2) of today´s Network Centric Warfare (NCW) battlefield. And a framework for DSA in battlefield for C2 of NCW is proposed. The Three Level Situation Awareness Model (TLSAM) proposed by Endlsey has been universally accepted as an individual SA model. However, in this paper we have made some further extension for the TLSAM by systemic approaches. The extended model, which we call it the Three Level Distributed Situation Awareness Model (TLDSAM), is proposed to describe the concept of the DSA. Some other works in this paper include introducing the implementation techniques about TLDSAM.
