Abstract :
A versatile numerical tool simulating the spectral and temporal behaviour of fibre gratings operating in reflection or in transmission is designed. Several constraints and geometries are handled by this user-friendly numerical tool including uniform, apodized, chirped, discrete phase-shifted, and superstructure gratings; short-period and long-period gratings. The versatility and extensibility of the tool allows straightforwardly handling further forms and constraints.
