Abstract :
Computer Control Systems (CCS) course in Southwest University of China is introduced briefly. To solve teaching problems existed, a new Cooperatively Developing Teaching Method (CDTM) is presented. CDTM requires both teachers and students to work jointly. Each one is assigned with a different role and tasks. A teaching case using cooperatively programmed simulator is provided to evaluate the teaching effect. Actions include introducing fundamental knowledge, assigning tasks, drawing flowchart, programming, tuning PID parameters, discussing and evaluating. Most students participated in the case. This helps to promote their thinking and self-learning, foster their problem solving ability, improve their learning enthusiasm, and train their team consciousness. It is found that the teaching effect is enhanced.
