Abstract :
This paper presents a conceptual model for web based social networks development. The model is an abstraction layer one and has five layers. It is based on the functionalities of the social networks Medias. For site functionalities statement and in each layer that modeling language and symbols is needed, state machine is recommended to use as a visual modeling tool. In third layer, functionalities of social networks are modeled with state machine notations and will be easily integrated together that can be used for implementation and testing of the site. After the integration of these diagrams, social graph and database of the site can be designed.
