  • Abstract
The concept of integrating GPS and INS systems in ultra-tight mode has been presented in this paper. The advantages of ultra-tight integrated system over the loosely and tightly coupled systems have been discussed in detail. An extended Kalman filter was designed to evaluate the system´s performance. Simulation experiments have been conducted to assess the performance, and the results suggest that the various algorithms and the statistical assumptions carried out are valid.
