Abstract :
This paper presents a novel structure of a disk permanent magnet generator. The new generator has the advantages of, minimum total cost of construction, light weight and ease of mass production, power loss reduction and compactness. Modelling, design, and finite element analysis of a 1kVA generator are investigated in this paper. The disk-shape profile of the generator makes it compact and particularly suitable for mechanical integration with wind turbines.
