  • Abstract
This paper considers the OSA/Parlay API and its underlying business model. The analysis is then complemented with an extension of this API to take into account a richer business model allowing a network operator to use various network capabilities located in other administrative domains, depending on the requirements of its application provider-customers. Consequences on the existing API, such as new interfaces and functions to implement, are identified. The benefit of such an extension is to allow value-added applications to interact transparently with network capabilities provided by multiple operators in a secure, controllable and accountable "a la Parlay" way.
