Abstract :
Summary form only. We report the results of an interdisciplinary research, designed to characterize the behavior of Methyl Orange (MO) aqueous solutions as a function of the proton concentration (pH), with basis on the third-order nonlinearity, X(3), of the sample. MO is a well-known pH indicator and, like many other molecules, it can exist in different states depending upon pH.
