Abstract
Product demand forecasting is a key component in the development of effective business models for the power electronics industry. This paper describes a structure for effective demand forecasting based on information sources external to and independent of the industry and product that are the focus of the forecast. The approach is based on an analytical technique originally proposed by Leontief and known as input-output analysis.
