Abstract
Summary form only given. Traditional methods of windowing for centroid determination of the focal regions which are present in Shack-Hartmann (SH) image data are not very appropriate for application of a sensor in positioning tasks. The maximum allowed centroid displacement is limited by the size of the window. When a divergent spherical wavefront (as in the positioning case is required) is incoming to the SH, some image processing techniques can allow us to overcome these limitations.
