Abstract :
The dynamics of microscopic bubbles have been widely studied in low-viscosity insulating liquids. The bubble motion (growth, collapse, rebound, etc) is governed by inertial forces. In this paper, we analyse the bubble dynamics in viscous liquids (μ⩾3 10-3P a.s) and conclude that the effect of viscosity controls its dynamics. The implosion time of the bubble becomes more important than those obtained in slightly viscous liquids. Experimentally, we demonstrate the transition of dynamics bubble from the viscous regime to the inertial regime. This transition depends on the initial size of the bubble
