Summary form only given. Parallel optical interconnect systems are becoming extremely important for high-speed optical data communications. A planar microlens (PML) array is a key component for alignment-free systems. In this study, we investigated its optical characteristics for stacked planar optics, which is aligned on micro-optical bench (MOB).
