Introduction of new Information and Communication Technologies in Mongolia

Abstract :
The top 30 Information and Communication Technologies have been defined and compared for 2002 and 2007. It is shown that all the list of top ICT for 2002 have been replaced by new top technologies in 2007. From the tendency of the development of the Information and Communication Technologies in the world, one can find two important issues: Broadband services and Internet. Based on the analysis of the top 30 Information and Communication Technologies as for 2007, the author proposes to introduce following 5 technologies in Mongolia giving them priorities of primary importance: 1. Power Line Communication-PLC, 2. Radio Frequency Identification-RFID, 3. Next Generation Network-NGN, 4. Broadband Wireless Access, 5. Internet Protocol Television-IPTV.
