  • Abstract
    The objective of this paper is to introduce you, to some of the productivity improvement initiatives that have been implemented at Boroo Mine that have assisted in bringing down costs and improving performance. This has been achieved whilst also improving our management of safety. Some of the areas that have been tackled are; Load and Haul, Drill and Blast, and Mine to Mill optimization. There has been a focus on combining the best of Mongolian with Western style management systems and structures. Implementation of new systems has been aided with the use of the latest advances in information technology, hence facilitating communication across all departments. Boroo prides itself on its ldquosafe productionrdquo culture which filters throughout the organization and to all contracting companies working at Boroo.
