Abstract :
In this paper we address the problem of instantaneous frequency (IF) estimation of multicomponent chirp interference signals in impulsive α-stable noise environment. Two robust non-parametric techniques are considered. These techniques are based on a pre-processing stage of impulsive noise mitigation followed by an analysis & estimation stage using time-frequency signal representation. Simulation examples and comparison with the HAF algorithm [S. Peleg et al., Jan. 1996] are presented to show the validity of the proposed algorithms.
