Abstract
The use of the Milstar satellite system for LAN/WAN extension can provide worldwide, secure, reliable data links for US tactical warfighters and other military uses. The paper describes such an integrated system of LANs and Milstar satellites and terminals. IT addresses design considerations for LAN to Milstar system interface in terms of bandwidth mismatch, delay, and bit error rate
