Abstract :
Application of renewable power sources is the topical problem all around the world. It influences when solving three global problems: power engineering, ecology and provisions. Developing off-line system of electric supply is required for remote and long distance districts of Russia and is connected with complex application of renewable and conventional electric energy sources. Carried out investigations allowed to compute gross and technical potential of wind energy on the plain area of Western Siberia and make a conclusion concerning the possibility of using wind power installations in remote regions. To develop effective off-line electric supply systems it makes sense to apply wind power installations and diesel power plants. Such complex approach is also topical for the regions of Mongolia where there is no centralized electric supply.
