Abstract
This paper studies the delay magnification mechanism of the parasitoid fly Ormia ochracea and proceeds by proposing and analyzing a simpler delay magnification system inspired by it. The proposed system combined with a conventional cross correlogram has the potential to localize competing sound sources with ITDs in the microsecond range.
