Abstract :
Improved demand based engineering method for designing radio networks of cellular mobile communications systems are presented here. We have used forward engineering method, "the integrated approach" to cellular network planning. For traffic distribution, a new discrete population model "the demand node concept" has been used to locate the transmitter as a maximal coverage location problem (MCLP). Set cover model and maximal coverage location problem are implemented to obtain feasible solution. Both set covering model and MCLP are based on the greedy heuristic solutions. Finally we propose two optimization algorithms-optimization algorithm over both set cover problem and MCLP, and graph based optimization algorithm over MIS.
