Abstract :
A novel form of steering vector is proposed for eigen-based direction-of-arrival estimators. This steering vector permits the processing of data from arrays which are configured as the arc of a circle of unknown radius. Techniques for estimating the new unknown parameters, the circle radius, are discussed. Results from computer simulations are presented, confirming that the circularly configured arrays the model outperforms the conventional MUSIC algorithm
