Abstract :
Shows how re-partitioning can be incorporated into the hardware/software co-synthesis process using the inter-domain movement of functionality. The basic idea is to model hardware and software in a uniform way which allows for the easy movement of functionality between the two domains. Using this inter-domain move as a design transformation, a transformational approach to re-partitioning can be adopted where re-partitioning is merged with other synthesis activities. This approach has been implemented in Java, as presented in this paper
