Abstract :
An architecture for data association and fusion in integrated multisensor sonar systems is proposed for a multiple bandwidth towed array, based on unsupervised and supervised classification methods. First, a detailed study of the unsupervised classifier is presented. This allows the authors to define a powerful suboptimal test and to give an expression of its theoretic power. The authors then show the influence of the working parameters on the test performances. The ability of the proposed architecture for data association and fusion is discussed in the context of a scenario
