Abstract :
In recent years, China´s Universities have developed greatly especially in strengthening higher education practise. Universities scale becomes bigger and so does the number of undergraduates. But the educational concept and management methods and system have lagged behind the developing speed, which caused the education quality descended. According to the suggestion of China education ministry, universities begin to implement education reform for undergraduate designating advisor that targets on the education of undergraduates´ professional knowledge and skills. And it also aims to transform the preach-style education to service-syle education with personalization services. However, in the reforming practice, there still exists unclear-cut job responsibility and indistinct orientation of undergraduate advisor. Because of lacking of reasonable and available evaluation mechanism, it sprains the positivities of undergraduate advisors. This not only gets in the way of the virtuous circle and sound development of the undergraduate advisor-system but hinders its implement and progress. This paper analyses the implement and progress status of the undergraduate advisor-system in China, indicates the main problem and puts forward concrete measures and suggestions for developing the undergraduate advisor-system.
