Abstract
A DOA (direction of arrival) peaking function which uses only the maximum signal and the minimum noise eigenvectors of the sample covariance matrix is presented. The fast algorithm developed is based on the power method of eigendecomposition. This allows for a unique procedure for estimating the number of arriving wavefronts. Simulation results obtained with the algorithm are provided
