Abstract
Bluetooth is an industrial standard for wireless specification for wireless personal area network (PAN). In recent years, Bluetooth technology has become a standard in mobile devices such as cell phones, smart phones and personal digital assistant (PDA) for short range communication. There is a new era of worm attack on these mobile devices through Bluetooth. Few years back worms on cell phones and mobile devices were more like science fiction but these days it is more than a reality. In this paper, our main concern is to detect and prevent malicious propagated code over the Bluetooth network to reduce the chances of epidemic. We propose a framework for detecting Bluetooth worms on public locations such as airports and sports arenas.
