Precis of best practices for Pakistan´s local software industry

At maturity level 2, the model proposed by CMM identifies more than 180 sub-practices. These sub-practices generate over 110 work-products. Small organizations simply do not have the resources to satisfy all these requirements. This work attempts to identify the best practices for our local software industry while at the same time aligning these activities with those of CMM, yielding the maximum value in the short term. This would enable organizations to smoothly transition to the CMM when desired.
