Abstract
A novel method of parts inspection based on determining the mass and location of centre of mass of a part under inspection is reported. A set of simultaneous non-linear equations needs to be solved in order to calculate the mass and location of centre of mass of the part under inspection from measured static deflections and natural frequencies of vibration of the sensor. A neural network is used to estimate the roots of the equations
