Abstract :
Temporary gate shortages and stochastic flight delays are common problems that often occur simultaneously in real-time airport operations. In this study the aim is to propose a gate reassignment model designed to deal with temporary gate shortages with stochastic flight delays. This is done by allowing for violation of gate reassignment constraints in the model. Numerical tests, based on the operations of an international Taiwan airport, are carried out to demonstrate the performance of the proposed model.
