Abstract
A Bellcore software system that provides customer control of private network reconfigurations for networks consisting of digital cross-connect systems (DCSs) is discussed. The system, the FLEXCOM/linc system, and selected architecture objectives are reviewed. Two objectives are discussed: planning for independence from network element vendors and an integrated building block architecture approach to network access, management, and operations
