Abstract :
The monitoring and targeting methodology consists of a systematic approach on energetic resources use in order to achieve the best economic result. This paper shows an overview of a framework for an automated energy monitoring and targeting system which is compatible with the standardized energy management platform (ISO50001). In order to aggregate all tools associated to this scenario, this paper proposes the use of a software (Soft-PLC) with integrated supervision that runs the control application and a factory floor distributed system automation hardware in an IEC61131 compatible environment. The expected results of adopting an automation-based platform for energetic management includes software modularization, structuration, reuse, validation, easy debugging, high quality, high flexibility and adaptability seeking to lower costs of development and implementation and facilitate user interaction with the system.
