  • Abstract
The last decade of technical evolution has given a birth to the Internet. Although computers already started to talk to each other in the 70s, the major development happened during the 90s when personal computers became powerful and affordable to a large number of people. Telecommunication technologies have evolved enough to support the global network connecting PCs all over the world. The presence of the Internet has given us the ability to intercommunicate over long distances. Different kinds of businesses have partly moved to the Internet or come into existence thanks to it robots have entered the Internet as well. There are several robots on-line now and they may be operated remotely over the Internet. This paper discusses aspects related to the on-line chess robot
