Abstract
The development and growth of blade server technology has changed the philosophy and method of designing cooling solutions for data centers. These servers produce a thermal load of between 12 and 15 kW with equipment which can reach up to 25 kW and are characterized by an independent and integrated ventilation system which ensures that the thermal load generated within the cabinet itself is dissipated into the room. There are two scenarios where this technology can be used: new data centers based on developments in recent IT technology and existing comms rooms where traditional servers and high density servers coexist.
