Abstract :
In this paper the application of robust variable structure sliding mode control algorithm to position control in a voltage-controlled magnetic levitation system is considered. This system is inherently nonlinear associated with the electromechanical dynamics, so the control problem is quite complicated and challenging. Simulation results of the proposed control action show better performance in comparison with classic feedback linearization method
