Abstract :
Current trends in wireless and networking technologies are reviewed, and the benefits and potentials that can result from intelligent networks and services incorporating both technology trends are addressed. The transition from analog to digital cellular transmission in public systems to support increased subscriber densities and provide enhanced services, the low-powered microcellular systems which will provide flexible services within buildings. and intelligent wireless networks that will enhance the mobility of both corporate and residential subscribers are discussed
