Abstract :
In view of the existing situation of papayas quality detection in our country, a visual detection system for quality of papaya surfaces is presented in the paper. In order to acquire comprehensive information on papaya surfaces, an inclined plane with small angle is employed as the work platform for image acquisition of papayas, and the inclined angle can be fixed through calculation while making papayas roll purely along the slope. The result of the experiment indicates that the visual detection system can acquire comprehensive information of papaya surfaces. The system with the advantages of simple structure and low cost appears obvious contribution to avoid the complex mechanism in actual production.
