Abstract :
This paper presents an improved sampling-based downconversion topology design for multi-standard RF subsampling receiver. Wideband RF receiver architecture is proposed for multimode processing with high-level integration. By an appropriate choice of subsampling frequency complete multistandard RF bands are downconverted to IF domain. Baseband downconversion is achieved by a second subsampling stage. Original results are presented for the analogue IF bandpass anti-aliasing filter design by addressing optimization of sampling frequencies choice adapted to GSM, UMTS and IEEE-802.11g multistandard radio receiver. ADS simulation results are presented to evaluate designed subsampling downconversion stage performances.
