Abstract
The ability to accurately monitor and control productive pipelines is extremely important for quality control. Therefore, capturing data from printed circuit boards (PCB) or electronic components is necessary. Two-dimensional (2-D) symbols are constructed by means of extending the functions of barcodes. Because of the advantages of 2-D symbols, barcode technology implementation is efficient, low cost solution for the electronic product control. This paper proposes an algorithm for an application of 2-D symbols for industrial processes at first. And then we use a 2-D matrix symbols - QR code, to implementation a system. This system is compared with other systems such as those using barcodes, OCR, smart card and etc. And then a new adaptable and flexible algorithm for the dot cell 2-D symbol recognition is proposed in this paper compared with the standard reference algorithm. At the end some problems about special 2-D symbol is discussed
