  • Abstract
In this paper, a novel online technique used for estimating the parameters of non-isolated buck, boost and buck-boost DC/DC converters is presented. Continuous time models of each converter are used in the estimation procedure, where the derivative calculation problem of needed signals is solved by polynomial interpolation. Least mean squares algorithm is then applied together with other calculations. The knowledge of these parameters may be used in the fault diagnosis of such converters. Results obtained from simulations are presented, followed by experimental results in which the inductance, capacitance, load resistor and ESR of the capacitor are estimated, in order to validate the proposed technique.
