Abstract :
This paper reports a simulation method for output degradation when spot dirt adheres to a small photovoltaic module. A small photovoltaic module of 13 W was applied to various electric systems. The module consisted of 34 single crystal silicon photovoltaic cells, cut to 1/4 the silicon single crystal photovoltaic cell of the square whose one side is 103 mm. The power generation output degradation is large when the photovoltaic module surface is covered by dirt, shade, etc. Changing the aspect ratio of the cells used for the photovoltaic module results in suppression of output degradation. From the results of the field experiment, it was clarified that output degradation mitigation of the module can be effected by changing the cell aspect ratio according to the probability provided by the simulation method.
