Abstract :
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing has been proposed as a modulation format for a multi-user satellite communications system. The main problem with this scheme is that all transmitters operate independently. Thus, prior to timing acquisition, the transmitters are not time aligned and significant interchannel interference results. This paper derives a method for transmitters to code their outputs during acquisition such that interchannel interference is eliminated, independent of frequency separation and timing error.
