Abstract :
Research in the field of performance management is characterized by an applied focus. And there is a growing need for researchers in this field to make explicit the theoretical basis of applied performance management. Existing explorations on the theoretical basis of performance management has been reviewed. Suggestions for the future exploration are offered.
