Abstract :
This paper aims to explore the features of innovation activities by looking at the developing processes of the financial service projects, which enable us a better understanding of what particular factors influence innovation performance within financial service firms. The empirical findings indicate that the level of knowledge transferring and knowledge-based client-relationship development contributes to the innovation performance of the financial service firm. Moreover, the results show that the technological factor has the most significant impact on the level of knowledge transferring and client-relationship development, which aligns with Chinese present financial innovation practices. Whereas, surprisingly, project complexity, specificity, and tacitness show a little even none influence on the innovation process
