Abstract :
The study aimed to promote understanding the relations between three domains of organizational citizenship behavior (OCBs) and team effectiveness, and the moderating effect of gender between OCBs and team effectiveness. It was examined among 188 state- owned enterprise (SOE) employees in China. Data analyzed using Pearson correlation and hierarchical regression analysis respectively showed that self, group, and organization domain OCBs were directly related to job satisfaction, group and organization domain OCBs were directly related to team performance. The results indicated that gender moderated the relationship between organization domain OCBs and job satisfaction, and this relationship was stronger for males than females. Implications for practice and directions for future research are discussed further.
