  • Abstract
The single magnetic push-pull forward converter is a suitable topology to supply high-input voltage high-performance microprocessor. This paper presents an averaged large-signal model that describes accurately the low-frequency dynamics of the important dominant behavior of this promising switching converter. The model is simple and has a reduced order, so therefore it is an appropriate tool to predict transient and steady-state responses, to gain insight about the power processing mechanism, and to evaluate control architectures in a given operating region (not limited to a small region around a quiescent operating point).
