Abstract :
This study aims to explore career commitment of employees working in the hospitality industry in China. Data were collected from main tourist cities, and a total of 790 valid data were obtained using quota sampling method. Correlation analysis and descriptive analysis were conducted to examine the relationships between demographic factors and career commitment. The findings indicate that there is a positive relationship between education background and career commitment. Compared with senior staff, young people aging below twenty-four were less committed to their career. The findings would provide insights for hotel operators in Mainland China for retaining qualified staff and practicing effective career management.
