Abstract :
Rapid route and area mine neutralisation system (RRAMNS) is a capability technology demonstrator (CTD) conducted by the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) in Australia and industry partners Tenix Defence Industries and Minelab Electronics Inc. The detection system consists of three sensors: a metal detector array; a ground penetrating radar array (GPR); a forward-looking infrared and visual imaging system. Each sensor in this multisensor platform is targeting to detect different properties of buried and surface landmines. Fusion of detections from all sensors provides a complete automatic target detection system for a wide variety of threat mines. The paper describes the fusion architecture implemented to RRAMNS multisensor system for automatic target detection.
