Abstract
The author describes the Air Force Technical Order Management System (AFTOMS) program for modernizing the US Air Force´s technical-order infrastructure. He describes the AFTOMS program management direction and policy, the AFTOMS concept, and the relationship between AFTOMS and the Air Force and Department of Defense computer-aided acquisition and logistics support (CALS) initiatives. Also included is a discussion of strategies for CALS and AFTOMS compliance
