China´s Gold Industry, based on DEA Efficiency Analysis of Listed Companies

This paper uses data envelopment analysis (DEA) to analyze the efficiency of the gold industry, based on China´s gold listed companies. And it has reached the conclusion that there exist significant differences in the efficiency of China´s gold industry; scale efficiency and productivity has a significant positive correlation, while pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency shows a slight degree of negative correlation; most of the gold business is in a stage of increasing scale efficiency, and only a small amount of enterprises are at or near effective scale; scale efficiency is the main factor of the production and operation efficiency of China´s gold industry,; this thesis puts forward suggestions and solutions based on the conclusion.
